Riverside County Law Library (Victor Miceli Law Library);
Know Your Rights Campaign
What to do when arrested or faced with an ICE officer?
This workshop was held in Santa Ana, California to help the under-served community become aware of their Constitutional rights. We discussed the do's and don't's of the arrest process. In addition, we discussed how to know whether a warrant is legitimate. The most heavily discussed topic was invoking your Constitutional right to remain silent and requesting your right to an attorney.
Further, we covered the difference in powers of local law enforcement and powers of ICE agents.
We hope to continue such presentations and will assist any organization which wants us to help teach their members about their individual Constitutional rights.
